Teachers’ Workshops – Learn Your School Programs – Stage 5

$1,800.00

This workshop is for male & female teachers who need assistance in delivering Yr9 & 10 Stage 5 Industrial Arts Timber, Woodchix will give you the training & experience to expand on your knowledge and the skills to deliver your programs to your classes. Bring your programs, drawings & plans and I will teach you how to make them.

Woodchix is NESA accredited for 30 hours for this course by attending all 5 days of the course.

Min 4, Max 8 teachers per block. Time: 9am to 4.00pm for 1 week.

If your school books more than 2+ teachers, contact Woodchix for a terrific discount!

Contact your other local high schools for teachers to make up a class.

Teachers’ Workshops Stage 5.1

These workshops are for male & female teachers who have been asked to deliver timber, but do not have training or experience and who would like instruction and guidance to deliver Stage 5 Industrial Arts Timber. Ideal for graduates to obtain extra skills and guidance.

Woodchix is NESA accredited for 30 hours & can be attained by attending all 5 days of this course.

Min 4, Max 8 teachers per block. Time: 9am to 4.00pm for 1 week.

Teachers’ Workshops Stage 5.2, Now NESA Accredited

$1,800.00

This workshop is for all teachers who have completed the Stage 5.1 workshop OR have a basic to intermediate knowledge of Stage 5 IA timber. This workshop will add to your skills, techniques and knowledge for Industrial Arts timber.

Woodchix is NESA accredited for 30 hours by attending all 5 days of this course.

Min 4, Max 8 teachers per block. Time: 9am to 4.00pm for 1 week.

If teachers have completed the 5.1 workshop, then 5.2 is the follow on. They will make one project in the five days that will cover a semesters worth of work for year 10 timber. Any teacher who wanted to return and do more learning, THIS IS THE 1!!

2025 Technology – Engineering Systems, Teachers’ Workshops

Sharpening Workshop Tools & Knives

Empowering Women in Woodwork & Joinery

$150.00

Women can join Woodchix for $150 per year & $10 per visit; receive hours of workshop time on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm, Thursdays 6 to 9pm &/OR Saturdays from 9am to 12noon. First & most importantly you will be trained in all aspects of WHS, the use of hand tools, machinery & be guided by a female instructor. The majority of materials are supplied and guidance will be given on your timber purchases or can purchase timber from Woodchix.

Home School Classes

$220.00

For high school age students wanting to learn woodwork. Prepare yourselves to build terrific timber projects.

Attend for 1 term or you can decide to attend all 4 terms for 2025, just pay by the term via the website during the relevant school holidays.

Sign up for the time & day you would like for your child each term. The days are suitable for all the terms in 2025. Places must be paid for to secure your child’s spot. Attend the Woodchix workshop at 95 Great Western Hwy, Emu Plains and pay the teacher your $10 each visit. There will be information & talks one day each time slot per term on apprenticeships & other career options. Parents will be notified when the careers talks are to happen each term.

Cost $220 per Woodchix term + $10 per visit.

Min 4, Max 12 students per class.
