Workshop Details

While woodworking classes exist in most communities, few cater specifically to women. Many women express interest in woodworking but are intimidated by traditional, male-dominated shop environments.

Our programa addresses that gap by offering inclusive, supportive, and empowering learning spaces.

Workshop Information

  • Scroll Saw Courses – May 2026
  • Teacher: Gill Enterkin
  • Fridays
  • 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Beginner Scroll Saw Classes

  • 15th, 22nd, 29th of May and, 5th June (four workshop days for Scroll Saw – May + June 2026)
  • Duration: 2 hours a day for four weeks totalling 8 hours;
  • Focus: Safety, tool operation, basic cuts
  • Projects: Household décor, holiday decorations

By creating an inclusive space for women to explore woodworking, Scroll Saw Workshops:

  • Promotes gender equity in trades and craftsmanship
  • Builds confidence and community among women
  • Encourages creative entrepreneurship
  • Supports sustainability through upcycled materials
