WOODWORK & JOINERY WORKSHOPS

Ever looked at those beautiful, handcrafted wooden pieces and thought, “I wish I could make something like that?”

Or perhaps it’s those home improvements that you wish you could take on yourself?

At Woodchix, we believe that with a little guidance and the right tools, anyone can become a skilled woodworker and create amazing projects.

We understand that learning woodworking can be intimidating, especially when you’re not familiar with the tools, techniques, and trade terminology. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and stuck, unsure of where to start or how to improve.

Our expert-led woodworking courses are designed to help you overcome these challenges, guiding you every step of the way as you build your skills and confidence. From basic home improvement tasks to complex joinery projects, we cater to all skill levels, ensuring you have the support and resources you need to succeed.

Woodchix have workshops which cover the NEW Stage 4 Technology syllabus.

Engineering Systems and Materials, Processes & Production. There are also workshops which cover stage 5 timber workshops. The 5.1 delivers the basics for a good start to delivering and managing woodwork projects for years 9 & 10. Two comprehensive teaching aids are made during the 5 full on days you are at Woodchix. The 5.2 is more advanced aimed at year 10. You complete 1 major teaching aid in the 5 full on days you are here.
The workshops are designed by a senior woodwork teacher/cabinet maker for woodwork teachers, to ensure you have the support and resources you need to succeed and are capable and confident of delivering the content and handling the students, hand tools & machinery.
