Empowering Women in Woodwork & Joinery

$150.00

Women can join Woodchix for $150 per year & $10 per visit; receive hours of workshop time on Thursdays from 11am to 2pm, Thursdays 6 to 9pm &/OR Saturdays from 9am to 12noon. First & most importantly you will be trained in all aspects of WHS, the use of hand tools, machinery & be guided by a female instructor. The majority of materials are supplied and guidance will be given on your timber purchases or can purchase timber from Woodchix.

Greater Glider Nesting Boxes Workshop

Woodchix & the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) are looking for volunteers to assist in making nesting boxes for the endangered Greater Glider. The workshops will be held at Woodchix in Emu Plains. It does not matter whether you are a woodworker or not you will be taught what is needed to be done to construct, seal & paint the nesting boxes.

Please volunteer and help make a difference for our endangered Greater Gliders.
